The children of Madaa Creative Center from the central district branch in Silwan recently participated in a recreational and educational tour of the Old City of Jerusalem.
The children were accompanied by the branch’s coordinator, Rula Al Qaq, where they visited the most important monuments of the old city and visited the old markets, and they learned about the most prominent traditional productions such as porcelain, leather, mosaics and more.
During the tour, the coordinator, Al Qaq, gave them an explanation on the importance of these traditional Palestinian products and the importance of historical monuments and the need to preserve them.
The children also had their Jerusalemite breakfast (ka’ak bread and falafel) in the markets of the Old City. At the end of the tour, the children enjoyed the breathtaking views of Jerusalem as they walked along the ancient wall of Jerusalem.
Al Qaq said that the idea of the tour was aimed at introducing children by viewing their history and the history of their city and the importance of preserving it.
