Madaa Creative Center- Silwan commemorated the day of the Palestinian prisoner through various activities in two of its branches, Ein Al Loza and Batn Al Hawa in the village.

Coordinator of Ein Al Loza branch, Abeer Abbasi, said: “Prisoners’ Day is an important occasion to be reminded of the prisoners’ pain in the prisons of the occupation, especially for children, so they sang songs for the prisoners, and children were introduced to a group of prisoners through the stories each child told about a prisoner he/she knows. In addition, they made a mural that included slogans, drawings and messages for prisoners”.

Abbasi added: “the branch had previously organized an awareness day for children to inform them about the hunger strikes that the prisoners underwent and their reasons for doing it”.

Whereas the staff of Batn Al Hawa branch/ Silwan talked to the children about this day and the children drew portraits of prisoners in Israeli jails and listened to patriotic songs.
