The Cultural Department at Madaa Creative Center, in cooperation with the (Big Brother Big Sister Program), organized a celebration for children on the occasion of the new Hijri year 1442, on 08/19/2020 in the center's three branches (Wadi Hilweh, Ein AL Lozeh, and Batn Al Hawa) with the participation of dozens of children.
In Wadi Hilweh branch, the children began their celebration by learning about the story of the Prophet’s migration and were presented with a model of the cave of Thor. After that they watched an educational film about the prophet’s migration. The children were divided into groups to participate in competitions, and gifts were distributed to the children to encourage them to become more involved in learning and cultural activities. Then the artistic activities began and they colored the Happy Hijri 1442 sign using colored papers. Finally, the celebration ended with the distribution of sweets and juice to the children.
As for Ein Al Loza branch, it started its activities by making a model of the cave of Thor. Then they narrated the story of the Prophet’s migration (Peace be Upon Him). Then the children chanted songs and learned about the Hijri months. After that the children were divided into groups to hold cultural competitions, and they left happy with the gifts and sweets that were distributed to them.
In Batn Al Hawa branch, the staff spoke first with the children about the story of the Prophet’s migration, its reasons, and the time it took place. Then they conducted competitions among the children and prizes were distributed to the winners. Then they watched a movie about the Prophet’s migration and listened to some hymns and chanted the song “Tala’a Al Badro Alayna”, a traditional Islamic poem known as nasheed that the Ansar sang for the Islamic prophet Muhammad upon his arrival at Medina. They participated in a joint artistic event to make a large model of the cave of Thor, in which our honorable Messenger sat in. At the end of the celebration, sweets and juice were distributed to the children and they left happily to their homes.
It is worth noting that Madaa Creative Center celebrates all religious events in all branches of the center to increase children's awareness and knowledge about religious issues and matters.
