Madaa Creative Center carried out a festival today for Mother’s Day to be coincided with the rebuilding of a protest tent in place of the children’s cultural center that was destroyed by Israeli bulldozers about a month ago.

Madaa Center in cooperation with the Committee of Wadi Hilweh in Silwan set up a varied ceremony where they presented gifts to mothers and honored the families of both martyrs Samer Sarhan and Milad Ayyash.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence for the souls of the martyrs and after that the national anthem “Mawtini”. The ceremony included musical and artistic pieces as well as Dabkeh and poetry given by the children of Silwan Madaa Creative Center, in addition to a play performance written by Ahmad Qaraeen and performed by the children of Silwan.

Majd Gaith supervised and organized the ceremony with the help of Madaa Center crew and the Committee of Wadi Hilweh, and Waad Ayyash was the leader of the ceremony.
